Author: Ebonics

Brand new track from Kid Cudi which is a freestyle on some track I never heard before, all i know that the track is dope and Cudi kills it once again. Always good to hear some new cudder after having dropped one of the dopest albums and at the same time being apart of the biggest tour of the year. Shout to DatNewCudi for letting this loose. Check it out and enjoy:

  • callameenoowappa December 2, 2009 at 8:14 pm

    how does someone not know vampire weekend.. and freestyling over a song someone else created. reeaaalll creative.

  • thom December 2, 2009 at 11:08 pm

    nice track and yes, creative. freestyling over other tracks is hella normal.

  • raptor December 3, 2009 at 12:29 am

    @itstk - You’re a fucking idiot, go die in a fire.

  • itstk December 3, 2009 at 1:04 pm

    lol I love you guys.. however vampire weekend is still gay

  • se3k December 3, 2009 at 1:19 pm

    You know what’s gay
    spoken word over a good song
    rap=the original mash up

  • yeee December 3, 2009 at 1:47 pm

    cool track, def not a freestyle though

  • farc December 3, 2009 at 7:31 pm

    @se3k - Implying that mashups are inherently bad. The false premise makes your other arguments moot.

    Then again, you insult things by calling them gay.

    Anyway, yes, this track is mediocre in my own opinion, and I have no opinion on the Vampire Weekend track, but I don’t understand why “Ebonics” didn’t just look it up. Original lyrics are clearly audible.

    agree with itsk, not feeling the hype on Vampire Weekend… Rather listen to Grizzly Bear at least

  • djifno December 3, 2009 at 8:22 pm

    yo what sup

  • Leland December 3, 2009 at 11:15 pm

    This may be the highest charting song on Hype Machine ever. 20 hours left and already 2378 favorites. Dayum.

  • MusicCEO December 4, 2009 at 2:39 am

    Yeah, VW sucks…but Cudi is always hot.

  • Banannah December 4, 2009 at 12:37 pm

    Ok seriously who ever said mashups and Hip-Hop go f’yourself because it does take some creativity to take an original song and make sound something of its own. Having said that, I still love the original song of ottoman by vampire weekend as much as Kid Cudi’s freestyle over this song. Sure the method is not original many have done it past, starting with RUN DMC and Aerosmith maybe even earlier but the point it is that this song sounds good on its own, so quit hating.
    However, if you want call a particular music genre gay by all means let it be rave music.

  • montrey December 4, 2009 at 2:17 pm

    @Banannah - Well said.

  • Banannah December 4, 2009 at 6:36 pm

    @Banannah - apologize, I was not clear on the degree about mashups and hip-hops but in case anyone wants to know, I am referring to those who complain about the style
