We've removed the download but still allowing it to stream. We encourage all of our readers to buy content all the time and Lupe would be one of those artist we would definitely back. Whoever ripped off Lupe is really at fault and since this song is going to be heard REGARDLESS of what we do here we are still streaming it so people can sample before its time to purchase.
think you should also remove the stream. because people can easily dl from your stream via a plugin that i shall not name here
Cut the shit. If it's been leaked it's everywhere. Bloggers can't be held responsible for people who hack streams. Those people are the kind of people who leak this shit in the first place. I love Lupe as much as the next person, but get over yourself, kids. Lupe has a very powerful, multinational record label who will find the person responsible. You're not vigilantes of the web. You really don't get it, do you? Lupe has a big label, yes. But do to piracy, two potentially multi-platinum records of his have been mass-pirated. Of course it's going to leak. Every freaking album leaks. It's up the the morality of bloggers and blog-consumers to either not post, or not condone this massive manipulation of someone's job. Did you read Lupe's letter?

I say leave it. F–k the record labels and their bullshit politics. I bet Lupe didn't even write that statement release. It was probably some PR puppet whom is too worried about their dwindling margins. Embrace the future and leave MP3 blogs alone. Go after the people posting entire albums, not MP3 blogs who help build album anticipation and hype by allowing a track to be streamed. Moreover, if the artist is hot and the album is the shit, millions of records will be sold.
@RuhRoh “…two potentially multi-platinum records” seriously? I'm sorry, lupe fiasco is definitely worth album sales, but not multi-platinum sales level on two records. Straight up, Lupe want's this track to be heard. It's a dope track, no lie. The labels know his shit is good and kids want his shit. Leak or not, this can be twisted into a positive if they play their cards right.
