Skrillex - "Breakin' A Sweat" [Video + Zedd Remix]
01.22.2012 Alex Leonard

ReGeneration is a film worth your attention, following 5 producers' (Skrillex, Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, DJ Premier and Mark Ronson) collaborations with other genres and styles of music. They've recently released a music video to Skrillex's and The Doors' - "Breakin A Sweat" which was also released on Skrillex's EP. The video shows footage of Skrillex and the Doors in the studio producing the track as well as footage of Skrillex live. There's a small blurb at the beginning where Skrillex talks about how most of his production is done in Hotel rooms since he doesn't have time to really go to a studio. The video is an interesting look at what's to come from the film, ReGeneration

Along with the video, Zedd's remix of "Breakin a Sweat" has been circulating around the internet. Zedd works his usual magic with this Electro House banger. The initial beat has Zedds signature Electro wobble sound as it's accompanied by The Doors vocals. Were brought to original build up (that pushes are suspense just a little longer)  which takes us right to the drop where Zedd changes the whole song by adding his own funky Electro beat that grooves up the original. A poppy melody is layered on top that's makes this track so astonishing, throughout all of this The Doors vocals are scattered here and there. A great electro pop remix of the original.
