Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve [Anenon]

This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one “chill” track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I’m here to make a delivery. Chill…

Usually, I spend my time hiding in loud, dark, hectic places, but today, I’ve emerged from my chaotic hole to spend welcome time in a lightweight, sunny spot courtesy of Anenon. Fans of Ulrich Schnauss will surely approve of these clean instrumental tracks filled with tender emotion that’s never cumbersome. Driven by grand piano and tenor saxophone, Brian Allen Simon shines these sounds through an aural prism to enhance their texture and add increased complexity. “This Is What I Meant” will be included on Anenon’s debut LP, Inner Hue, out on Non Projects, the label he founded, on May 1. We can’t wait to see what else this Red Bull Music Academy 2011 graduate comes up with.

Already out on Non Projects in the Acquiescence EP, released March 27. Title track below:
