Summer Heart - "I Wanna Go" + Album Stream
05.02.2012 Ronnie Evans

Swedish gem Summer Heart has been making rounds in the Dream-Pop audience since the release of the free single "A Million Times" early last month, but never really broke through until about a week ago, when About A Feeling was released. While each song in the album does't display a particularly wide variety of genres, it gets by simply because it's too brilliant to complain about. Combining various elements of auto tune, synthesizers, beat pads and live instruments, Summer Heart's music provides a Lo-Fi Dreamy descent into a carefree abyss, where the listener is able to sit back, relax and enjoy their life for what it is.

In the past few days "I Wanna Go" has been making a particular mark around the blogosphere, and rightfully so. One of the stronger tracks off of the EP, "I Wanna Go" is a solid example of how good, upbeat Lo-Fi and Dream Pop can be combined to make something both extraordinary.

While the album may not take your breath away with it's brilliance, it's likely to take your mind someplace else. With a good portion of the year ahead of us, we should see even more content from Summer Heart, and hopefully a video or two. Stream the album below, and keep your eyes and ears open for further developments on this outstanding new talent.
