Not long has passed since RAC released their debut original score "Hollywood," yet despite dropping the track no more than a week ago RAC is back again, this time with a remix of The Temper Trap's "Need Your Love." While the remix is most certainly nothing you'll find yourself head-banging to at a club, it's not supposed to be. Bangers haven't ever really been RAC's style, and their melodic more-dance-less-rage feel has remained consistent throughout the past year or so despite the harder side of EDM's rise in popularity. Seamlessly reconstructing the song to a dance-pop ballad, RAC has managed to redefine the track without warping it from its roots.
The remix is serving as a kickstarter to promote the official single release of "Need Your Love," which is out on May 14th. Following shortly after will be the release of the band's highly anticipated self-titled sophomore album which will be released on May 21st (preorder the album here). It's a fair statement to say we've all had a bit of an auditory crush on The Temper Trap ever since they took the world by storm with their massive hit "Sweet Disposition," and judging by the content they've released so far it seems that the band has certainly grown up a lot since then. The album will mark the first collection of works released from the band in 3 years, a bit too much of a wait for many of us. That being said, we couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of the campaign here at Earmilk, and we are pleased to premiere for you RAC's remix as we all prepare for what looks to be a big year for the sweethearts from down under.
