This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. Are you in a cult? Do you come home tired from all the innocent animal blood sacrifices and tiresome nude ritual dancing? Well, I have a treat for you. Spell Hound is a boy-girl (Evin–boy, and McKaylea–Girl) duo from Kansas City, MO. They make very hauntingly relaxing chillwave/witch-house for people who sleep during the day and frolic at night. “Endorphins” is the song I chose from their latest self-titled EP, Spell Hound released on netlable Aural Sects–which you can get for free on their bandcamp page, here. I highly recommend you go and download their EP.
Actually, I take all that ritual and cult crap back, because they are more than that. If you ask me to comment on the current state of music and where it’s heading; I’d give you a weird look, shrug it off and point you to the likes of Austra, Purity Ring, Grimes, Crystal Castle, Sleep ∞ Over and of course Spell Hound. Bedroom producing is where it’s at right now and everyday I’m discovering great new self-produced musicians putting an odd spin on pop music and I’m loving it. So dim the lights down, grab your tobacco pipe, put on your loafers, and sit by the fire because your castle up on the hills ain’t getting cozier.Download: Spell Hound – Endorphins
