Deadmau5 has been quite busy the last few weeks, recently wading farther into the DJ/producer debate in a Rolling Stone interview and consequent Tumblr post, "We All Press Play." While his comments have received responses from the likes of A-Trak and Kaskade (and sparked larger questions along the topics of live play, production value, and the burgeoning electronic scene in general), they have not kept him from releasing new music to the delight of his millions of fans. “There Might Be Coffee” came out yesterday via Deadmau5’s fuckmylife Soundcloud account, and, though it is listed as a work in progress, the track could be dropped as-is to the delight of any crowd. Like “The Veldt,” the tune remains generally upbeat, with a melody that brings lightness to an ever-present, darker running synth line. Grab the free download now.
