This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one “chill” track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I’m here to make a delivery. Chill…
Today’s delivery is brought to you by Broke For Free. This San Francisco based producer is set to release his Gold Can Stay EP this November but, today, we have the pleasure of premiering one the first singles entitled “The Gold Lining”. You may remember that the last time we covered this artist, he had released a remix to the Ratatat track “Cherry” which also incorporated some of the same soothing sounds you may expect to hear in his upcoming EP. The track I’m bringing to you today seamlessly blends a smooth melancholy sound with a beat that is right on the cusp of being extremely danceable; just to keep things interesting. Overall you are left with a track that will grasp you in different ways upon each listen with its multiple mood blend. Check out the track and chill….
