Strip Steve (Feat. Robert Owens) - One Thing
11.10.2012 Kenneth Postigo

French native Strip Steve released the second single off of his latest album Micro Mega on Boys Noize Records. Steve is greatly inspired by classic Chicago house music, which is definitely demonstrated with "One Thing". The original 808 beat is accompanied by vocals from Robert Owen, one of Steve's house heroes reminiscing back to revered hits like "Can You Feel It", "Bring Down the Walls", and "Mystery of Love". Jimmy Edgar and Djedjotronic contribute to the single by sharing their own remixes of the song. Edgar creates a Eurythmics-style revision with more electrified synths causing an overall futuristic sound. Djedjotronic takes the song back to the 80s with its in-and-out percussion and quick soft drums. The instrumental is also included to wrap up a rather nostalgic EP.
