Audien - "Sup"
11.27.2012 Steph Evans

Nate Rathbun, also known as Audien, takes his turn at an electro dance floor burner with his track "Sup," out on Trice Recordings this week.  Audien uses his talented progressive hand to test out strengths that crossover to electro as well. And, if you thought electro couldn't also be melodic, this will prove you wrong.

Audien has had quite the breakout year, with just in the past few weeks playing live at Pacha NYC for Help Heal New York and warming up for Hardwell a week later. In both instances, the producer turned to sets that were largely electro based, with this song as the centerpiece. "Sup" was composed as solely a big room driver and channels the Russian-style electro mammoths that we rarely hear out of the US, nonetheless Connecticut. Here, Audien continues to establish firmly planted roots in the dance music community, first in trance and progressive and now in a huge electro crossover.
