Aaliyah - "Are You That Somebody" (E-603 Remix)
01.23.2013 Alyce Currier

The late Aaliyah's birthday just passed on January 16, and to honor the R&B icon, Brooklyn-via-New Hampshire producer E-603 has crafted a sleek remix of the pop princess's Grammy-winning "Are You That Somebody", originally released in 1998 for the Dr. Doolittle soundtrack with writing and production from Timbaland and Static Major

We've been seeing a lot of R&B remixes lately, many of which share the same tone (you know what I'm talking about). E-603 takes Aaliyah's vocal in a different direction, giving it a 2012 update with a Purity Ring-feel that will appeal to fans of dance-worthy, sensually-paced, oozing instrumentals.
