Daily 2% - Chilled and Ready to Serve [Rockie Fresh + Sasha Go Hard]
01.23.2013 Montrey Whittaker

Today's delivery is brought to you by Rockie Fresh (not pictured) & Sasha Go Hard (pictured). Rockie Fresh just dropped his ever Delorean promotin' Electric Highway mixtape. The mixtape is somewhat of a departure from previous Rockie releases with its autotune usage as well as the various style changes. But, it shows that, although it may not be perfect; he is on a forward trajectory and ever willing to expand his sound like a true artist should. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Show Me Sumthin'" and immediately got the "replay" treatment", even before the rest of the album got a listen. Rockie made a wise choice by teaming up with up-and-coming Chicago MC Sasha Go Hard for this drop.   Sasha is known to be associated with the "drill" music scene but I hate to try to pin a label on her because she definitely seems like an artist that could and will change up on you when you least expect it. But, she always brings that attitude that is one part braggadocious, one part act-a-fool and one part real sexy bitch.

The track's production is ultimately the reason this track was chosen for Daily 2%. It's got a very ethereal synth backbone that makes for a perfect sound tapestry for Rockie and Sasha to drop lines over. And, the production for this track, goes to MMG in house producer, The Gift. Somehow, the term "mesmerizing lil banger" is the best description for this track. Make sure to get the mixtape. Check out the track and chill....
