Thom Huhtala Band - MERCURY [Album]
01.23.2013 Mike Kniazeff

Under the radar Toronto-based Hamilton native Thom Huhtala has released his debut, MERCURY, a blues-influenced, psych-rock-fueled album full of favorites and definitely worth the listen.

After releasing a handful of singles, mixtapes, EPs, and field recordings, the release of MERCURY has been long awaited, having taken a year to fully produce this album that incorporates boiling water, accordions, and is chock-full of organ. The in-house release can easily match any of the albums out today and is available for stream on Thom's Bandcamp. After briefly chatting with Thom, he tells us a lot is in the works for him, including work with singer/songwriter Tess Parks, so we will keep you posted on that when we hear more.
