Two weeks ago we featured the smooth house song “Sonnentanz (The Sun Don’t Shine),” by Klangkarussell. Now stepping up to the plate to take a crack at the tune is british producer Jakwob. With exceptional reworkings of hit songs like “Starry Eyed” by Ellie Goulding and dancehall anthem “Dancing On My Own,” by Robyn it is no surprised that Jakwob was able to take an already resilient track and turning into a piece of art all his own. Some songs compel people to strum their torso as they rock a mean air guitar, but this song makes me want to stand on a table in a dimly-lit smoke filled bar and rock the shit out of the air piccolo, Aqualung-style.  While melodic, Jakwob still adds a slight touch of breakbeat bass that makes me want to writhe around like a soggy noodle. If I haven’t painted a vivid enough picture, this song superb and sensual in every essence of the word. This remix as well as the vocal version featuring Will Heard and the original instrumental track will be on the EP, Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine ft. Will Heard), which is set for release on August 18th. You can pre-order the album now on iTunes, and as the folks at Men’s Warehouse say (with some liberties taken), “You’re going to like the way this sounds, I guarantee it.”
