Sit back, kick off your shoes and dig into Awning's new song "Blue". Based out of Brooklyn, this duo was formed while they were both studying music at NYU. Being classically trained, Jon Sheldrick and Luke Smith incorporate shells of music that they have been playing for years into their contemporary folk sound found in Awning. In creating their folk-tronica music Jon and Luke start by keeping things simple with a chord-progression or riff before churning this lick into a grounded, bare-bones folk song and then, finally adding any electronic elements.

Swaying into a effortless sound, "Blue" finds character in its seamless transitional qualities throughout, where every component within the track is allowed to shine without becoming overwhelming at any point. Utilizing the many years of experience behind them,  Jon and Luke showcase their many talents in "Blue" creating a wholesome soundscape that will surround you.

Citing influences such as  The Books, Bibio and Baths these forward-minded musicians look to make their mark on the relatively unexposed scene.
