Shift K3Y has had quite an adventure over the last few months, coming off fresh from touring with Skrillex in the United States. His songs have a noticeable dreamlike quality that meshes class with dirty dance music and it's fantastically unique the way he transcends usual genre boundaries and with his tour with the beloved Sonny Moore, he was able to show the world why his songs were claiming and stealing hearts one by one.
His song "Touch" gained the attention of everyone recently, and this time he's taken the somewhat novel approach to remixes, and gone ahead to give us another chance to take in "Touch" all over again with a remix of his own track. The original was a bouncy pop influenced track that was fun, light-hearted, and perfect for the car ride back home. The new version has drastically slowed down the original vocals to create a housier UK dance aesthetic. Both are still light and floaty and perfect for the evening before the party, however the remix is defiantly sexy in its 4×4 drums, as well as bumping bass.
The young twenty year old has been making quite the career for himself and doesn't seem ready to slow down one bit. He knows how to mesh his talents to please listeners of all genres, and that is where his true brilliance lies.
Check out both the original and the remix below.
