Mr. Carmack's music is not the type of sound you see most musicians try and tweak. This Honolulu native is too busy making new masterpieces or chaotic chimes to be concerned with giving his stems out to other artists. But this didn't stop the creativity of Mawhs, an up-and-coming producer who seems to recently be gripping the public's attention.
EARMILK first came into contact with Mawhs with his premiere of "Retrospect", a downtempo delight. Now, this young musician has gone bigger than ever by giving us his first remix of Mr. Carmack's "The Next Afternoon".
Mawhs manages to brilliantly leave the original melody, which Carmack perfected for relaxation, while still turning the track upside down in a new light. The music rolls over and over, making a smooth transition from a blaring beat to something a little more funky.
