Ambivalent & Michael L Penman team up on a more than 'Apt' EP

This EP has been self-described as "stylish," and I can't really pick a better word to describe it myself. With a listen, it is transportive to Ibiza or the chic poolsides of Saint Tropez. A product of the collaboration of techno producers Ambivalent and Michael L Penman, the Apt EP out this week on Tronic is groovy, techy and trendy. The lead track, "Apt" is the shining star (hence the EP name, right?), with elements of deep house, techno and nu disco fused into one. The standout traits though really are its groovy bassline and retro vocal sample pairing. Flanked by the more minimal "That Noise," this EP is a real eye opener.
