From indie pop to fertive house, Mint Royale adapts Kita Klane's "Running Circles"

With a 1940's jazz feel, Kita Klane's voice and coinciding band pay homage to a time when music was sexier and black tie affairs were more popular. Clubs were classier, and people respected each other more. Things costed less, yet people appreciated more. Kita's music brings us back to that glorious time—the "good ol' days."

Mint Royale's take on Kita's recent release, "Running Circles", brings us back to the modern day. Maintaining that sultry vibe with minimally processed vocals and salty hi-hats, the Manchester-based artist (previously duo) appropriately adds gritty bass and deep house percussion for a more current feel. Royale's remix can be considered playable in popular downtown bars and artsy underground clubs, or simply hanging in and taking it easy after a long day.
