Spinnin' Deep's very own Sam Feldt has paired up with hidden French talent, Bloombox, to remix the impassioned Burner-style tune, "On Trees & Birds & Fire", of I Am Oak. The original has strong ties to wilderness cabins and slow-jam bluegrass—the type of atmosphere and sound recently adopted by many house music artists. While maintaining a majority of the intro's afro-percussion and melodic integrity, the remix employs Feldt's iconic brass section creates a whole new approach and flavor.
The deep house vibes and light accessorized bells and triangles fill in the negative sonic space, while the acoustic drum rolls provide the much needed bridges between drops and builds. Altogether, the Feldt/Bloom remix is relaxing, deep, and emotionally furtive through its both uplifting and positively depressing sonic qualities.
