Coming straight out of Chicago’s South Side comes rapper Yung Curt. The name is extremely fitting seeing that although the artist is 22, Curt looks like he’s 18 with his youthful appearance and aesthetic. Despite the outpouring of drill artists from the city’s South and West sides, Curt brings a fresh take on the now-popular sub-genre of rap by spitting witty rhymes and ferocious bars with a dynamic flow. The flow he uses on the track “Ready” is best defined as a mix of the Atlanta rap trio Migos and Chicago’s young spitter Lil Mouse’s respective rhyme-synchronizations. In the video, the young Chicago artist can be seen wylin' out with his homies as any young person does as he exclaims his readiness in taking on the battle arena, which is the modern rap game.
