This one is really, really exciting. Up and coming songstress JOY., who caught my ear with a recent cover of Drake's "Marvin's Room", has decided to share her new original "Stone" here exclusively on EARMILK.
The 17 year old from Australia has that kind of spark you see in quickly growing young musicians, the kind you can't describe but know it's there. After cruising back through her former releases, I began to realize she's kind of like the lighter counterpart to what BANKS similarly was at that stage of her career. Her songs are produced along the lines of modern hip-hop/R&B with a light and airy backdrop. Not to forget that she has a stunning voice to top it all off. This release has also been remixed by Sebastian Carter and features Young Franco, it's hard to not notice what her past drops have done.
