Another mysterious artist has appeared overnight on Soundcloud with fresh new music. The debut track from Marwan El Sheikh is composed entirely on a launch pad, yet the soundscape is complex and dips deep into the artist's musical creativity. The song "Bass" is the first real initiative from this young musician. What else is coming this year is a complete mystery, all I can say is that I'm excited to see Marwan's progress.
"Bass" is very dark and strictly spooky, you're never actually sure what exactly you're hearing. The introduction starts with an acid toned deep mood, which moves in and out of static sounds with only bass pulsating to never leave the song silent. Around half way through the track there is a single note melody that transforms from chaos to creativity. The vocals are overtly distorted and layer the second half of the track in an unexpected way. For a premiere piece of work, I'm completely blown away.
