Today’s delivery is brought to you by Easy Star All-Stars. A lot of people were introduced to this group back in 2006 when they dropped the Radiohead cover album entitled Radiodread. The album was a filled with dubbed/reggae versions of classic Radiohead tracks and these guys really are able to keep the essence of the original song yet make the song their own. The track i’m bringing to you today is “Within You Without You” which features Matisyahu and its from their latest album entitled Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band which is a tribute album to The Beatles’ album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.  The track is very trance-y and melodic but it is these qualities that make it worthy of a Daily 2%. Here we (earmilk.com) come across so many tracks and well – it’s hard to come up with meaningful postings for every single track we get. In the interest of full disclosure and in the hopes of supporting those who have taken the time to support us – Here is your grab bag, straight from the teet.

Today we had someone drop some thick and well produced tracks drop into our cloud. This name is Haydn Hoffman, and he hails from Irvine, California. I think he’s got a well developed ear for the current state of electro and its yearning for house – Put your hands up for Ir-vine. I love that citaaaeee.

To properly introduce him we’ve found some new Subfocus, a Chewy (Chocolate Cookies) Remix of The Bloody Beetroot’s Warp which fits perfectly with Hoffman’s “In The Red”. Oh we also found a pretty slick and diversified mashup (aka a 6 minute dj set with a computer) by DJ Pinto.

Like most things in music, I’ve been wanted to allow SS to grow. Last week I snuck in some mashups, and this week abunch of synthy poppy sort of stuff. That being said, I am still playing it safe with picks like Night Drugs, Designer Drugs, and Dirty Disco Youth - but Ever heard of LectroLips?

Two Tracks came across my desk this week that I felt compelled to include, it just happened they were both LectroLips. I also dropped some more We Have Band, which are definitely fresh gunners aiming for your next remix. Watch out for them, we’re doing our due diligence.

Today’s delivery is brought to you by a group called Dry & Heavy which is a Japanese dub & reggae band.  They have really good dub influences such as Lee Perry and King Tubby who are some of the innovators of the genre as a whole. This song i’m bringing to you today is called “Landing”  and its one of the chillest songs i’ve ever heard. Its an odd mix of dub/downtempo/sensual and electric guitar.
