Anticon always seems to be up to something fresh these days. Of their latest projects, Dosh comes through with a wonderful new single featuring one of my favorite artists, Andrew Bird. If you can recall, Dosh actually made some contributions to Bird’s last two albums, Armchair Apocrypha and Noble Beast. The combination of Andrew’s soothing vocals and Dosh’s heavy percussion create quite the enlightening landscape. Hopefully a good sign of what is to come of Tommy, which is set to be released April 13th.

Nearly three years since the release of the acclaimed Challengers, The New Pornographers give us a taste of their highly anticipated project, Together. If this powerful yet catchy track is at all an indicator of what is to come, it would be safe to say that the Vancouver-based supergroup has done it again. And it looks like we are getting the full roster back for the LP, as A.C. Newman, Dan Bejar, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, Kurt Dahle, Todd Fancey and Blaine Thurier all join the ranks. Together will be in stores May 4th, via Matador Records. Pre-order now!

During the 2nd intermission of the Canada v USA Olmypic Men’s Hockey Game, this sundae comes a little late. But hey, priorities right?

This Week we see the return of some crowd favourites. Two Door Cinema Club finds itself a great remix in Jupiter’s able hands, but the real return is Danger. Danger made great waves a couple of years ago with a solid cannon of analog electro goodness and it comes back to us through F.O.O.L.

With a bunch of acts who were hot at the start of this electro wave in 2006 we see New Young Pony Club release new material for the first time in ages – but they are back, making Modular People proud no doubt.

The new commers to pick out of this list are Crizzly and Belzebass who both toss out some solid remixes that I know I’ll be recommending to some local dj clubstars.

This week comes in a Neapolitan – We start off with some bangers, a few mashes in the middle, some great vocal centered dance tracks and then we top it off with a classic cherry.

Bangers this week are from Savoy, HAEZER (Welcome back!), The “S”, Belzebass, and 16bit. Take extra care with the Belzebass remix of a hardcore(ish) band covering Briney Spears, it may just beat you up and cut your hair to the side.

The 2 Mashups, both classics that I couldn’t help myself but drop in. Whats more interesting is the Tigerstrike tracks we have going this week. Xanx is the latest release from indie dance rock electro act Tigerstrike, friends of HAEZER who also hails from South Africa. Thats right, We covered HAEZER a couple of months back and yes, sweet music is coming out of South Africa.

Here we (earmilk.com) come across so many tracks and well – it’s hard to come up with meaningful postings for every single track we get. In the interest of full disclosure and in the hopes of supporting those who have taken the time to support us – Here is your grab bag, straight from the teet.

This week we debut The Romans, with their beefy and made-to-ripup track which feels like it would sit inside a set with Congorock’s Babylon without missing a step. I can’t wait for some more varied types of tracks from them.

We also see some classic SS with Audionite’s Delphic remix but some new faces in the crowd for sure (which is why your here right? gotta stay ahead of the curve…)

Riot 87, NILOF, Computer Juice, and Star Guitar (Shinichi reference?) are some of my favourites from this weeks new kids coming out party – but don’t forget to checkout the Coeur De Pirate remix which should have all you xx fans swooning…

Oh yeah, its not new but I’ve been waiting for Bobermann aka Bob Cornieus Rufio is Bloody Beetroots’ personal side project to turn out some more goodness so I dropped his remix of The Subs.
