Today’s delivery is brought to you by a group called Backyahd. Its a little overdue for some reggae on Earmilk and i’m here to bring you some of the chillest reggae you can find. Now, this group hails from Maui, Hawaii so you know right off the bat that its gonna be chill just because of the environment it was created in. The song is called “Stay Irie” and the whole idea of “irie” is exactly what Daily 2% TRIES to incorporate every time we do this. If you aren’t a fan of island reggae (you will be if you stick with Earmilk) then all I ask is you give it a chance and have an open mind because Daily 2% will never steer you wrong. Today’s delivery is brought to you by Katchafire. This is a New Zealand based island reggae group. They are known for their island style and their chilled-out tracks. I try to throw in some reggae every now and then since its a big part of my music library now and it should be a big part of yours too. You gotta have a pretty nice subwoofer to really appreciate this song because there are some super low beats in it. The song is called “I Dubb” and its from their latest album entitled Say What You’re Thinking which came out in ‘07. Check out the song and relax…

We all know I love reggae..especially hawaiian/island style reggae. The group Iration has released a video of a live performance they did in San Francisco. They are on tour with Rebelution and Tribal Seeds. These guys have a great sound and they have that SoCal sound mixed in with the hawaiian style. The title of the song is called “Dream” and although the sound quality of the song in the video isn’t that great; you still get the great vibe this group brings to the stage. Today’s track is a Hawaiian reggae track. The song is called “Night Nurse” and is performed by the group known as Ho’aikane. The Hawaiian group does the cover of the original “Night Nurse” that was originally done by Gregory Isaacs. This Hawaiian version is really smooth and has that added island vibe. Today’s delivery is brought to you by the Hawaiian duo B.E.T (Big Every Time). This duo consists of: Timothy “Papa T” Troxell and Joe “J.D.” Daniels Jr(although i think they have a new member..not sure the details).  Both of these guys stand 6 feet tall and have a big presence. Their music is a mix of Hawaiian reggae/Jamaican covers/r&b and everything in between. You can’t deny their island style. Its chill and good to the ear. Today’s delivery is brought to you by Katchafire. They produce island style roots reggae and they hail from New Zealand. I got a chance to see these guys live in Hawai’i and they can really put on a show. All of their music is “chill” so you will be seeing them a lot on the Daily 2%. Their name was inspired by the album entitled Catch A Fire which was made by Bob Marley and The Wailers. Katchafire is one of the chillest bands you’ll ever have the fortune of listening to. The track I’m bringing to you today is called “Get Away”. Such a perfect track title. So sit back and chill……
