[11.23.2009]Not For Everyone(N4E1) Fall/Winter 2009 Lookbook Music Video – Feat: Luu Breeze

Author: jus'k'

N4E1

N4E1 a premium contemporary street wear brand, takes the idea of a lookbook to a whole other level by putting its complete Fall/Winter 09 Collection in a music video featuring Luu Breeze. This is one of the most unique ways I’ve seen in a while to display a collection. Check it for yourself and tell me what you think.

[10.16.2009]Wolfmother – New Moon Rising [Video]

Author: jsully

Wolfmother

Australian rock  fearsome foursome Wolfmother released their new video for “New Moon Rising” (CCR anyone?) yesterday, and I have to say…it’s ill. This band rips it pretty hard, and their guitar player is something serious. I really dig all the animation in the video, it makes a very interesting mix of video and effects. It kind of has a trippy vibe to it, which a lot of their videos do. New Zealand directors Special Problems made the video, and you cans see their influence all over the psychedelic ridden footage. This track is getting dropped on their new album “Cosmic Egg”, set for release later this month. I’m pretty excited about it too, and when we get it, you’ll be the first to know.

I’m going to throw up my favorite video of theirs for “Mother” along with this one, and also the MSTRKRFT remix, just because I love you all that much. And it’s the last day at my internship, so it’s a celebration, bitches.

Enjoy.

[10.13.2009]Vitalic – Poison Lips + Video

Author: jsully

vitalic

You may know Vitalic, who is French/Italian DJ and Producer Pascal Arbez. You may also know some if his side projects, Dima, Hustler Pornstars, The Silures, or Vital Ferox. All I know…is this is some highly sick music. I first listened to his track “Poison Lips” which is available for download below, along with a video. His music is super thumpy, but also has these synth swells that are just plain nasty.

In 2005, Vitalic’s debut album, OK Cowboy was released on Different/PIAS Recordings. Pascal states that all of the instruments used in the album are synthesized. His official website states that “the only thing he can’t fake is the emotion that galvanizes his music.” Vitalic’s second studio album Flashmob was released on the 28th of September 2009. He has spoken a great deal about the new disco influence on Flashmob, which you can definitely hear on some of the newer tracks. I’m throwing up a video for that track also.

Enjoy.

[10.06.2009]Dead Weather – I Cut Like A Buffalo [Video]

Author: jsully

deadweather

Jack White is a true master of all things weird as hell. He’s constantly in bands where you question if not only the sound can get any crazier, but the looks and the antics also. I’ve always been a fan, since the White Stripes back in the day, to now with Dead Weather. How could you not? They are an absolute supergroup. Formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2009 and comprised of Alison Mosshart (of The Kills and Discount), Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes), Dead Winter lives up to the usual Jack White weirdness.

Oh, not to mention, Jack White directed this video. I’m also throwing in the video for their track “Treat Me Like Your Mother”, just because it’s ill. Enjoy.
