One of my favorite songs from Raekwon’s newest album is “Pyrex Vision” and since its the shortest track on the entire album; I never imagined that he would release a video for it. The track has a sick flow and has good recipe tips that you can do in your own kitchen for your next party. All this scene is missing is Chris Rock messing with the naked bitches. I think its safe to say at this point we now know who possess Dr. Emmett Browns DeLorean, Alan Palomo or many of you know him now as Neon Indian. This time tackling vagabond now delivers us an amazing remix as he takes on Au Revoir Simone, the electronic indie trio out of Brooklyn, NY. A mixture of Neon Indians retro, time capsuled beats with the innocent melodies of Au Revoir Simone result in pure amazingness. The song he chose to send back in time is entitled “Another Likely Story,” which is off Au’s album Still Light, Still Night. Neon Indian is by far, as of right now, my favorite new artist so far for 2009.. and may continue into 2010, with that said couldn’t be more excited that he is also kicking off their first tour tonight in Denton, TX. Forest Swords is back with a new song and video called “Glory Gongs”.  Once again Forest Swords brings that dubbed out/trippy sound back to the fold. The video of course is a cinematic masterpiece that mixes well with the music that accompanies it. Forest Swords will also be releasing the song on cassette tape just like their previous song “Miarches” which we posted about a while back. Forest Swords is actually a solo project done by a Matthew Barnes who is a graphic designer from Liverpool. Check out the song and video below:
