It’s been a while since we posted something from the left coast homie Dom Kennedy. Here is his latest visual effort; the popular track from his sophomore album Future Street/Drug Sounds entitled, “Menace Beach”. Although this video seemed like a long time coming, the cinematography is excpeptional with shots of street corners, hustling and the movement of Venice Beach, Ca. Directed by Sendeu Flippin and Jason Madison, check it out.

So this came outta nowhere.. The LA Leaker out of Leimert Park released the highly anticipated mixtape Best After Bobby earlier today. Dom mentioned he wasn’t going to come back on Twitter until he felt the mixtape was perfect and it was where he wanted it to be at, and I think he achieved just that. The mixtape features Ree$e, Mibbs of Pac Div, Like..among others.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Dom Kennedy yet, then you’re missing out on some of the best hip-hop Ive heard in a minute, take the time though to go back to the roots and listen to 25th Hour & Future Street/Drug Sounds.. Dom is one of the dopest – and most underrated rappers to come out of So. Cal recently. On the real, I cant understand how this guy hasn’t been getting more buzz. He knows a thing or two about keeping it cool and keeping it real in 100% of his rhymes. His last two mixtapes, 25th Hour and Future Street/Drug Sounds (which has stayed in heavy rotation in my car for the last couple of months), both went extremely hard. Below, Dom performs his verse from Everyone Knows Us and the song Hard Work from FS/DS, which was produced by Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids. Keep Listening.
