This posting is to inform you of the “greatest instrumental for a video game theme,” of all time! The beats hitting and that piano sound will have your feet stomping like the Ultimate Warrior from the WWF back in the day. Sitting here in my apartment all of the sudden I hear this epic piano start playing and then I look up and see those stiff moving computer models moving around talking about “Liberty City.” I looked up only to see a newly advertised gun-slingin, car-chasin, and street-hustlin Grand Theft Auto: the Ballad of Gay Tony. All the while during this awesome bouquet of graphics and explosion is the monster sound of that piano from Eric Prydz’s track – Pjanoo.
Electrifying is what the song should also be called or just plain and simply named, “The Greatest Instrumental for a video game theme.” Eric Prydz (aka Pryda) has produced several instrumental hits but none as great as his classic Pjanoo which reached, No.2 on the UK Billboards in 2008. As being an instrumental it’s very difficult to make it even onto the charts let alone at the top.
