The Kitsune signed, London (UK) duo autoKratz are back and they are going to leave you gasping as they put the machine in “Skin Machine” – the first track out from their forthcoming EP.

We covered their LP debut ‘Animal’ mid-last year and its about time they wave the flames of that one. Can’t Get Enough as well as a bunch of their other tracks seemed to strike a vein with amateurs and pros alike. Be sure to checkout the autoKratz tag here on earmilk for the backstory.

The LP itself was solid from start to finish and really captures a great blend of pop, synth, and UK electro. Should have gotten more coverage but it seems you gotta hit a car commercial or the opening scene of a hip young adult film to break through.

So take this new track and the others and spread ‘em a bad comb-over.

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin’ and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake and jsully of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn’t care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole.

This long weekend we pretty much burned down every watering hole around town. We’ll continue our coverage of Bestrack (if you missed him), and Jokers of the Scene (High Contrast Remix), but throwdown a new track by Anto, some Linus Loves, The Prodigy (highly reccomended!), Tiga, and of course some bangers from the backpack.

There’s a little online excitement getting passed around over here about Felix Da Housecat’s new release due August 25 ” He was King“. Felix has been laying it down since 2001 with “Kittenz and Thee Glitz“, around the same time Fischerspooner and Peaches also broke onto the electro-rock scene.

On the album Felix has said:

“This is my electronic pop record. Whereas ‘Kittenz & The Glitz’ was straight up electro, ‘He Was King’ is straight Felix Da Housecat pop with a nice electronic feel.”

I like getting my boogie on to some Felix Da Housecat, and people are in a buzz about this new album,  so I’m happy everyone is down. Also, this video down below is one Felix made himself for “Kick Drum” a track on the upcoming album. Lot’s of close ups on peoples faces. Definitely strange. Would you expect anything less?

Always count on Art Pop/ Visual frenzy artists Fischerspooner to give us music and videos we can at first dance to and then get slightly scared of.

For those of you who don’t know Fischerspooner, its a project that consists of Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner that mixes music, dance, fashion, film and photography. Originally visual artists, the duo wrote a few cool electronic tracks to accompany their film and theatre acts, and eventually became more interested in the soundtrack. At the turn of 2000, Fischerspooner blew up in the electro-pop genre, and even had music featured in the 2006 comedy hit “Grandma’s Boy“.

Their newest release “We Are Electric” spares nothing to your imagination on showing you just how they are in fact, electric. I’m contemplating making myself one of those crazy light bulb hats they have in the video. I’ll let you know how it goes…
