Author: JAHN DOUGH

Flying Lotu

The Warp artist returns with some leaked tracks from his upcoming album entitled Cosmogramma, and from the sounds of them, it looks like we’re in store for another classic from the Bass thumping, glitch layering afficianado. But did anyone have their doubts after bangers like 1983 and Los Angeles… I mean really? These tracks are so nice I, personally, had to play them thrice – each. Supposedly there are two more leaks out there somewhere, but I cant seem to find them, maybe you can help me with that. You can pre-order the album through Bleep.com. According to Flylo’s twitter, the first set of limited edition vinyl’s will include mp3’s, and he’s working on including posters and rolling papers. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me, all I know is that today is payday and i’ll be ordering mine. More after the jump…

[02.13.2010]Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve [machinedrum + Nami Unreal]

Author: montrey

This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one “chill” track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We will try to bring you at least one a day. We are just your milkmen and I’m here to make a delivery. Chill…..

Today’s delivery is brought to you by machinedrum featuring Nami Unreal. I came across machinedrum through a friend and I’m glad for that day because I havent listened to much IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) but the more I hear some the more I really love it. machinedrum hails from New York and much like Flying Lotus; he has produced music for Adult Swim interludes and we all know Adult Swim has some of the best music sprinkled throughout their programming. The song i’m bringing to you today is called “Roll & Feel” and its from macinedrum’s album entitled  want to 1 2? I’ve also included the music video with this song which is what really got me liking the song. The song also featurs Nami Unreal who is a j-pop/electronica artist that hails from Tokyo. This song really tries to put you in a little trance so check out the song and chill…

[12.04.2009]Flying Lotus & Lil Wayne

Author: montrey

Flying Lotus

I’m a huge fan of Flying Lotus and I got introduced to him by listening to the songs played between the shows on Adult Swim. Ever since then I’ve loved everything he’s touched and my favorite album of his is 1983. If you are a fan of experimental electronica that has good bass beats then you will definitely be a fan. With that being said..check out his latest release. Flying Lotus has just released two Lil Wayne tracks that he has remixed and offered free for download. The first track is  “I Feel Like Dying” which has a great grungy bass beat that definitely gets you hype. The second track is “Robo Tussin” which sounds more like a usual Flying Lotus track. Even if you aren’t a fan of Lil Wayne check out the tracks because you will love ‘em.

Suicide Sundaes - Week 2

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin’ and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake and jsully of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn’t care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole.

This long weekend we pretty much burned down every watering hole around town. We’ll continue our coverage of Bestrack (if you missed him), and Jokers of the Scene (High Contrast Remix), but throwdown a new track by Anto, some Linus Loves, The Prodigy (highly reccomended!), Tiga, and of course some bangers from the backpack.

As this is our first week we wanted to take this opportunity to pay homage to the great sunday feature of our time – Palms Out Sounds’ Remix Sunday.

Palms Out has been a staple in the music blog culture since there was a culture and is not doubt a major influence on earmilk and all the editors/contributors here. Late last year, “Google, the IFPI & the RIAA begun a campaign against all the music blogs hosted on blogger.com – especially high profile blogs, like Palms Out.” and as such started deleting posts without warning even though Palms Out has expressed permission from artists covered weak week – We want to pay them respect by lighting a new fire on sundays…read the full post about it here

In this inaugural and resurrecting post we bring you some of the favourites of the holy years of Electro like Diplo, The Bloody Beetroots, Dom Rimini, Justice as well as some soon to be big boys (and girls) on the scene (autoKratz, and more). So shutup, plug in your studio speakers, and bounce.

[06.24.2009]Flying Lotus – L.A. 3×3 delayed; extra track added

Author: jsully

FlyLo

“Due to unavoidable production delays, the final and most intriguing installment of the L.A. EP series will now be released on 18th/19th August, but now with an extra, bonus digital track. We unreservedly apologise for the extra wait, but to thank you all for patience, FlyLo has now added another track to the digital bundle that there wasn’t space to squeeze onto the vinyl.

On L.A. EP 3 X 3, FlyLo and a few friends explore the psychedelic ambience and dream-like elegance that brought such a vital depth to the album’s soul. Two new Flying Lotus compositions, Endless White and Spin Cycles display his deft touch and unrivalled eye for beauty. Breakage’s Testament turns Gonjasufi’s quiet desperation into a tribal battle cry. But it is perhaps the collaboration with harpist Rebecca Raff that is most striking, revisioning Auntie’s Harp into a swirling symphony of rolling arpeggios and piercing electronics.

L.A. EP 3 X 3 is released on limited 12″ and download. Previous EPs have sold out pretty much immediately, so don’t sleep.”

I love Flying Lotus, anyone who likes electronica music loves Flying Lotus, and if you don’t like Flying Lotus, you have bad taste. Check the songs, and watch the craziest video you’re virgin eyes have ever seen.
