Author: vanlaker

Rox

Roxanne Tataei is a rising Soul Diva who’s set to become a household name. Tipped by MTV and the BBC as a star for 2010, the 21-year-old London singer songwriter is fast making a name for herself. She’s performed with Mark Ronson and opened for Raphael Saadiq, just to name a few. Headlined the HMV “Next Big Thing” event at the Jazz Café earlier this month, winning rave reviews, and is set to headline her own show at the London Tabernacle next month (March 18th).

With the release of her debut single “My Baby Left Me” fast approaching, we had a little chat with the songstress:

Listen: Rox – My Baby Left Me

EM: Congratulations on the Jazz Café show last week. I went a long and thought you did a great job.

Rox: Thank you so much. The weird thing is Krystal Warren (Brooklyn based musician) was opening for me, which was pretty amazing. I’m such a huge fan of hers; it was really cool meeting her.

EM: You Seemed very confidant on stage, how do you find performing live and do you ever get nervous?

Rox: I don’t get nervous anymore, it’s more excitement than nerves. I’ve been performing for quite a few years now and have learnt to deal with the nerves. I actually feel most comfortable when I’m on stage. I just love performing and interacting with the crowd, so it’s definitely more of an exciting feeling than anything.

[01.25.2010]RJD2 Exclusive Interview @Earmilkdotcom

Author: montrey

RJD2

RJD2 is a busy man now that his latest album has officially been released. The album, The Colossus, was just released on the 19th so it was a great pleasure for us to be able to speak with him after such a major release even though we only had a chance to ask some rather softball type questions. Check out the interview below and definitely go buy his latest album, especially considering the fact that RJ is  in control of all aspects of his album release with his own label.

Here’s a track, from the new album, to ride on while you read the interview:

RJD2 – Games You Can Win (Feat. Kenna)

EM: How many records do you have in your collection?

RJD2: Never counted, but probably in the range of 5000. Not a huge collection by any standards, really.

[05.22.2009]DJ Semtex interviews Eminem

Author: montrey

This is a really good interview. Eminem talks about his drug addiction and also about getting clean again. He also talks about the rap game and how its changed since he did his last album. He talks alot about his new album Relapse. Eminem then goes on to talk about artists who are keeping the game alive right now and of course he gave props to Andre 3000. You kind of have to!
