Got some new by the young Spitta Curren$y, track is post to be featured on his upcoming project “Smokey Robinson” which is set to drop Superbowl Sunday. Curren$y is definitely starting the new year/decade right with this track.  Still waiting to hear some of his new work with Jay Electionica & Mos Def but this will do for now. Here’s a radio rip from a few days ago when Jay Electronica went on the Toca Tuesday’s radio show. The track features Mos Def and was produced by Just Blaze. Jay has been releasing songs every other week and they have all been top notch but only makes the wait for an official album that much harder.  Mos kills the song for me though and I wanted to like Jay’s verse more since i’m expecting amazing things from him but Mos gets in the zone in this track. Don’t get me wrong..Jay kills it too and this isn’t the complete song…but you be the judge. Check out the track below.

Sweet jesus…thank you for this glorious early Christmas Present. Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek) have dropped a new single called “Just Begun” which features Jay Electronica, J Cole and Mos Def. Tracks like this are the whole reason I can’t deny how powerful and amazing a good hip-hop track can be. I’ve been talking about Jay Electronica quite a bit here so even if he wasn’t on the track it would still be hot but with the addition of him it just takes it to a whole new level. The beat is sick. Looks like they are getting ready for their album to drop in early 2010 which will be entitled Revolutions Per Minute. Check out track below and please leave a comment and tell us what you think.

The CD quality version of Exhibit C has finally hit the scene and on iTunes. Jay Electronica is the next/current best thing to hit the hip-hop game in quite some time. This version doesn’t have any DJ yelling or any of that shit all over it. When this CD finally comes out I’ll be the first one to actually buy the physical CD because this is that realness. Video of Curren$y talking to MTV  about this new project that came out of no where with fellow New Orleans artist Jay Electronica and Brooklyn’s MoS Def which forms group Center Edge Territory. There’s already word that they are  six! tracks deep which is crazy, this is definitely something that hip-hop needs right now.
