In anticipation of her upcoming EP D.A.I.S.Y. Rage, Kitty Pryde has released its first single—accompanied by video treatment—"Dead Island." The track samples Major Lazer's been around the block "Pon De Floor," but it's not incredibly obvious because whatever else that's happening in the song is way too magnetic. The instrumentals are like the sonic equivalent of a kaleidoscope, and despite their potential to overwhelm, Kitty's confident rapping soars high above the dreamy kerfuffle.
