[03.11.2010]New Neon Indian – Sleep Paralysist

Neon Indian

Green Label Sound blessed us with a new track from the 80’s synth god himself, Alan Palomo, the brains behind the bastard child Neon Indian. The track is called “Sleep Paralysist,” it was recorded and produced in collaboration with Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear in Brooklyn at Taylor’s elusive musical dungeon, Terrible Studios.

This is Neon Indian’s first new offering since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album Psychic Chasms last October. The track is a little more glossy then what we’re regularly accustomed to from Alan, but again its nothing short of amazing and in no way disappoints. Listening to the track however only makes me hurt inside and feen for more.

[09.20.2009]Suicide Sundaes – Week 6

Suicide Sundaes - Week 2

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin’ and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake and jsully of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn’t care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole.

This week we bring you more from our boy HAEZER and crowd pleaser and SS veteran Audionite. Some dope Proxy, and a taste of the new Neon Indian record. More from Jogger as well as La Roux will go down nice and easy I’m sure, but got rediscovered some smooth jams anyway… This week I dug up some Classixx (who were Young Americans at the time), and Ghosthustler (half of which is is now Neon Indian)

[09.10.2009]Au Revoir Simone – “Another Likely Story” (Neon Indian Remix)

Author: itstk

Au Revoir Simone

I think its safe to say at this point we now know who possess Dr. Emmett Browns DeLorean, Alan Palomo or many of you know him now as Neon Indian. This time tackling vagabond now delivers us an amazing remix as he takes on Au Revoir Simone, the electronic indie trio out of Brooklyn, NY. A mixture of Neon Indians retro, time capsuled beats with the innocent melodies of Au Revoir Simone result in pure amazingness. The song he chose to send back in time is entitled “Another Likely Story,” which is off Au’s album Still Light, Still Night. Neon Indian is by far, as of right now, my favorite new artist so far for 2009.. and may continue into 2010, with that said couldn’t be more excited that he is also kicking off their first tour tonight in Denton, TX. Also included the complete tour listing, so check it out and enjoy:

[08.11.2009]Say Hello: Neon Indian

Author: Fimayo

Alan Palomo of Vega is back! and has everyone buzzing with the announcement of Neon Indian’s first LP (Psychic Chasms) which drops October 13 2009. This laid back, chilled out electro magic will have you reminiscing about the lazy summers of your youth. Dreamy synths, drum machines and songs like ‘Should Have Taken Acid With You’ are all ingredients of something special. Pop these tracks into the cassette deck and chill out like its 1994′

*hint* as an audio engineer I would be willing to bet that Mr.Palomo is running these tracks through an old school tape machine to get the tape lag and bend effects :)
