Radiohead

Wobble Wednesday [Week 19]

I went really sub heavy this week. Not heavy grit bass, but that low-end wobble people "wouldn't realize was dubstep if they didn't know any better" (pffft…okay). Of course there's something for everybody, but there are a few specifics I’d like everybody to check out. First off, Jacques Greene's new track, "On Your Side" feat. How To Dress Well, is an absolute future masterpiece. It has a groovy bassline and a moving beat. Next up on the list is Flux Pavilion's remix of Danny Byrd's "Bad Boy". It's one of those...

Atoms for Peace - BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Atoms For Peace is a super group that consists of Thom York, Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco. And obviously its easiest just to say they are an extension on of Radiohead considering the uniqueness of Thome Yorks voice and having the radiohead procedure, Nigel Godrich but it really does feel like a new project. The album, AMOK, was just released on February 25 and immediately received rave reviews as most people were fiending for something new from the Radiohead frontman. And now Thom  and Nigel...

Pixel Fix - "Lake" [Audio + Video]

Their sound won't tell you, but Pixel Fix happen to be from the same town as Radiohead. But if you let the namedrop and not their sophisticated melodies grab your attention, then shame on you.  The 4-piece who hail from Oxford, bring us another foray into their chillwave aesthetic that at times...

Frank Ocean - "Fake Plastic Trees" (Radiohead Cover)

Admittedly we don't usually don't post videos like this but it's Frank Ocean saccharinely singing Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees". Seems like an appropriate time to waive the rule. While at a press event for Spotify, Ocean intro'ed "Voodoo" with this favorite off The Bends. In less than two...

Stumbleine - "Fake Plastic Trees" (Feat. Coma)

I was a little skeptical at first when I saw yet another cover of "Fake Plastic Trees". However, me being a big Radiohead fan, I had to take a listen. Covered by Stumbleine and featuring Coma, these two made a phenomenally beautiful cover song. They didn't try to mimic or copy the original....

A Sol Mechanic - "Almst (Touching)"

A Sol Mechanic has been hard at work recently, releasing Fuzzy Feeling March 20. But that by no means constitutes for a break of any kind. At least in regards to his work ethics. He has graciously released a track yesterday called "Almst (Touching)." What I soon came to realize as I delved deeper...

Daily 2% - Chilled and Ready to Serve [Dash Berlin]

Today's delivery is brought to you by Dash Berlin. Now, I would say trance is definitely one of the most neglected genres when it comes to the Daily 2% picks but admittedly many trance tracks you come across are pretty "chill" in their own ways. Especially when a trance tune hits its orgasmic like...

Thom Yorke - "Twist" & "Stuck Together"

You would be forgiven for being slightly cynical as to whether these are actually Thom Yorke or not, especially considering the recent hoax the band pulled, posting a song which apparently was a unreleased track fron The Bends era. It actually turned out to not be Radiohead at all. Ever the...
