Fire & the Romance emerges from "Way Down Below" the radar with new music video [DOWNLOAD]

With a sound like Jane's Addiction's mellow cousin, Dion Roy and his alt rock band Fire & the Romance have released their first official music video to "Way Down Below" off their upcoming EP, The Adaptations. Directed by Peter Roessler, the video takes place in what appears to be the deserts of southern California. As Roy looks over the city from the desert, a girl is pictured strolling down the streets of suburbia singing along with the tune. The two never meet, but the video embodies the song's concept of finding somebody in the depths of despair as Roy walks the contrasting takyr surface of the desert.

While the band tours we wait eagerly for the release of The Adaptations EP in Spring 2014. As Roy puts it, "Its been an incredible experience developing this project with my band; the process was both fun and intriguing. The Adaptations EP was an experiment in sound that really turned into something special for all of us – and I love what we found." If the video is any indication, the creativity of this young band knows few bounds.
