In the ever-shifting landscape of our digital music community, ZHU is a unique voice who has been quick to make name for himself – without ever having mentioned it. The mysterious producer has been able to take the blogosphere by storm on numerous occasions; first, we had "Moves Like Ms. Jackson". Then "Superfriends" dropped. After that, came "Faded," which doubled as the producer's unmasking. The best part of ZHU's rolling takeover? That most of it was completely incognito.
Based on nothing but the music, the accolades continue to accumulate for ZHU. An unknown artist just two months ago, ZHU has achieved critical acclaim from some of the biggest names in dance music today – Pete Tong, MistaJam and Danny Howard to name just a few.
His latest EP consists of six tracks, filled with cascading liquid synths, propulsive beats and slinky, sexy vocal hooks. THE NIGHTDAY EP draws from a range of dance music genres, from house to disco to garage to hip-hop and synth-pop. And to sweeten the deal, ZHU compliments his production with his own distinctly captivating voice.
